This August
has been unlike many others in the Midwest. It has been unseasonably
cooler than past years. I will miss the warm summertime weather, but I
welcome the cooler weathers fashion and pieces! I snagged this cute little
transition dress during the beginning of summer! It has so many adorable
details that I just can't seem to get enough of. The cooler weather has allowed
me to pull it out of my closet and give it just the right transitional styling!
I paired it with my LC nude heels to keep it in the transitional stage from
summer to autumn! I can't wait to start styling for the even cooler weather
where I can wear cute cardigans and booties with them! How are you gearing up
for the fall season?

a place in the sun
Nothing screams summer quite like dancing in the grass barefoot and watching the sunrise and sunset. This outfit is my perfect summer night outfit, whether it's eating dinner with significant others, friends, going to a concert, time with family, on vacation, or just hanging out around a camp fire. This look accommodates all things related to summer. It is simple, light weight, and can easily be dressed up or dressed down, flats for an easy going night with friends and wedges for dressing up or a night on the town.
Necklace: Dogeared | Top: Forever 21 | Shorts Mossimo | Shoes: Sahara
Thanks again to my lovely sister at Climer Photography for taking these photographs for me! Have a wonderful weekend in the sun birds and don't forget to stop and shop @ Flock & Co.

Birds of a feather FLOCK together
As some of my readers and friends may know, my sister and I have started our very own online blog. Being sisters who steal each others clothing and who often have to check to make sure they are not wearing the same outfit before they leave the house, it made perfect sense to start our very own online boutique... And the idea of Flock & Co. was hatched. This look is styled directly out our very own boutique! This look is so transitional and easy to wear from day to evening and from summer to fall and from winter to spring! This beautiful ivory embroidered top has amazing versatility. If I were shorter, this tunic top would even be wearable as a dress. For this day time transitional look, I styled the tunic with a pair of Current Elliott shorts and Jeffery Campbell Lita Boots to show how easy it is to take look from summer to back to school fall. How would you style this fab top for summer or fall? If you have it, post your look to Instagram and tag @shoptheflockandco we feature our loyal birdies posts!
I have to add how much I adore that this top has this delicate, feminine tie in the back and how it has the ability for the sleeves to be rolled up! It just adds to the versatility and wearability of the top!
The biggest thanks to my business partner, best friend, and sister the wonderful photographer, with Climer Photography! If you have inquiries on her mad photography skills, click here! Check back birds!

Sparks Fly
The Fourth of July is just days away and over the years has become on of my favorite Holiday's to dress for. Its all stars, stripes, red, white, and blue which also makes it one of the most colorful days in clothing history for myself. Fourth of July is the special time of year in which we set off firework, cook out, spend time with family and friends, and most importantly celebrate our independence! For my Fourth of July look I complied a look that transitions from day to evening. The button down can be removed to expose the red tank and untuck it to wear during the day with the white shorts. Then depending on how the weather is during your Fourth, you can add the stripped button down to the red tank to make for a warmer and classic Fourth of July evening. If your fourth is a little more on the glamorous side of things, you can always add a classic nude heel to elevate your look. The look is a classic fourth of July style that can be mixed and matched to fit your style as well as your plans!
Button Down: Ann Taylor LOFT | Necklace: Dogeared | Tank Top: Forever 21 | Shorts: Forever 21 | Shoes: Mossimo
Have a safe and happy Fourth of July! Special thanks as of always to my amazing sister and partner in crime and style at Climer Photography! For inquiries on her capturing your life moments click her name!
Until next time,
