weekend warriors

After Thanksgiving feasts, I feel incredibly full meaning no skinny jeans or fitted tops. This look is inspired by my love for comfort and is actually perfect when you are still wanting to look chic and fun while Black Friday shopping, running errands, or just hanging out on the weekends! It is a beautiful weekend here in the Midwest meaning that wearing a sweater without a coat or even just a long sleeve shirt is perfectly comfortable! This sweater from Express is fairly light weight while still giving just enough warmth for the wild winds we are experiencing and it is also flowy enough you don't have to worry about having a food baby while eating Thanksgiving leftovers! These citizens of humanity jeans are perfect for errand running several pockets so you don't have to worry about a huge tote bag, and stretchy enough they aren't cutting into you like skinny jeans! I would also pair this look with some booties if I were looking to dress it up, but ultimately I love wearing fashion sneakers for extreme comfort. This outfit is the perfect amount of easy, comfort, and fun for this gorgeous holiday weekend. Weekend warriors and Black Friday shoppers how are you planning on styling yourself for function and comfort?

Gold Dust Woman

I'm not usually one to run out of the house in a babydoll dress, but the babydoll dress just makes me smile. Most babydoll dresses are incredibly short and incredibly girly... Not that this dress isn't short, but it certainly has a less girly feel about it. This dress has leather criss-crossed straps with speckles of different colors. The dress also has architectural details such as it is even taken in at the waist and is created with a form and not the typical shift style babydoll dress. Since the dress is so short and it is also fall, I added a sheer button down under my dress. The colder weather also calls for booties or boots in general. I also like the idea of adding tights or a leather motorcycle jacket over the dress for added warmth in the cooler weather. What is your favorite way to wear dresses in the fall?

Canadian Tux.

Fall means that it is the ideal time to bust out denim on denim looks... or better known as the Canadian tuxedo. So here is my very simple look of double denim. I don't like a lot of fuss when it comes to getting dressed for the day so adding a pair of sunglasses, heels, or red lipstick helps to complete my look. When weather starts to get chillier, I like to add a scarf, a military jacket, a blazer, boots, or a hat and for a little warmer weather I change shoes to flats typically and throw my hair into a cute wavy pony tail.

Pretty sure this is my, "How you doin'" face.
