unwritten

New Year's Eve is tomorrow night meaning that the upcoming year 2015 allows for new opportunities and adventures. This also means one of my favorite things, new trends, styles, and color pallets. So for tomorrow night I would like to ring in the New Year in one of my favorite styles that I don't believe I will be saying goodbye to in 2015. I love wearing fur vests with leather it makes me feel like a rock star, which is how everyone should feel when welcoming a new year! I chose to pair an olive green top with a fuzzy sweater for warmth and sticking with my Christmas Eve trend of wearing leather jeans wearing booties instead of heels allows comfort in standing or dance away 2014! Adding my favorite sparkled bracelet to give a hint of new year excitement and a bold lip to tie my look together to wave goodbye to 2014 and say hello to 2015. Will you be greeting the New Year in style?

Dreaming of a White Christmas

Christmas is so close I can almost hear packages ripping open and dream of sugar plums dancing in my head! This Christmas I have decided to go a little more casual for the night before Christmas! Since it is slightly warmer outside still, I am in favor of wearing a sweater and leather to keep cozy and warm. I am not huge on accessories so this fuzzy sweater with sequin dazzled collar glitz up the sweater. It could also easily have the heels swapped with booties or fun flats. This look is simple and not fussy and could be worn for Christmas dinners, churches, parties, and other outings. I am also a firm believer that adding red lipstick to holiday looks! How do you plan on dressing for this holiday season?

White Sky

I love wearing white during the winter to brighten up the dreary winter weather that we have been having. I also love being able to layer so this look is very accessible for me especially since we have been having an unseasonably warm winter compared to the winters of the past. I love how this look can also transition from day to night adding accessories like a statement necklace, removing the hat, and adding either a brown or grey leather or camel coat to the look instantly transforms the look from day to night. This is the perfect look for the weekends and going out. How do you like to wear your winter whites?

Feel Flows

I often take inspiration from decades of style, music, and movies when I get ready for the day. This month so far, most of my inspiration has been from the 70's and films like Almost Famous. There is so much about Kate Hudson's style in the movie that I love to wear on a regular basis. So for my 70's inspired look for this unseasonably warm winter, I paired some flared mother denim with a staring at stars sweater, Jeffery Campbell Lita boots, and a fabulous Eugenia Kim hat. Add a leather bomber jacket and fringe purse with this look and you instantly feel transported back to the 70's. I love the ease of the style in the 70's and I think that is why this month I have gravitated back toward the era of style this month. What are some of your favorite styles from the 70's that you love wearing to pay homage to the trends of the 1970s?

Its good to not take fashion too seriously... Fashion and style is supposed to be fun, or funny.

And if you forget to wear a coat like I often do, your hair can serve as a beard to warm your face and neck.
