olive you

Olive all my blog followers and I LOVE the color olive! As the days of warm weather days are numbered and the fall days are slowly creeping in... While the weather is still warm and the evenings are starting to cool down, it is the perfect time to pull out your favorite maxi dresses and layer them with jackets and scarves. This summer, a local store went out of business and I was able to snag this great olive/military green maxi dress before it closed.  It is a great transitions dress not only because of the color but because of the weight and the cut. Now, yes the dress is low cut but it can easily be changed by adding a bandeau beneath it and a jacket and/or scarf over it. It is a great outfit for this pre-fall transitional weather!

What are some of your favorite ways to style a summer maxi dress for fall and pre-fall weather? Special thanks once again to my fabulous sister at Climer Photography for putting up with me and taking all of my blog pictures! Keep Checking back for new posts each week!

Lace Up

Summer means two of my favorite things skirts and tank tops! This is a look I would wear for date night, meeting up with the girls, and possibly even work! I love being able to wear light weight clothing while keeping a classic look and making a tank top and a skirt tasteful. Lace hasn't always been my favorite styles same with layered skirts, however, this is something that I love to wear. This look can easily shift from day to night and is able to add layers of clothing for cooler summer nights.

Destroyed: Part three of three

So for my last look in this series I took a girly turn! I love white and and I always adore a touch of flower child. So for my last post in the destroyed shorts series I mixed one of my favorite sheer white tanks with the rad shorts.

If I would have had the time to do my hair I normally would have gone with a wavy more relaxed style and not quite so straight!

The top is from Urban Outfitter's. It is incredibly sheer and light weight, perfect for a hot summer day! It has a nice clasp to keep the front area concealed or to reveal a bright tank or bandeau. I prefer wearing it with white tank and clasped shut.

In this picture you can see that the shirt has detailing. It has stitching that is in a floral and paisley pattern.

The top is actually very flowy, but I love tucking it in for this look. It gives just a hint of flirty to the already cute appeal with the ruffles on the neckline.

I love backs on shirts from racer to open, strappy, and completely backless tops. The racer back is just too cute not to show!

These wedges are a little old but they are from Target, I love how the flower details are also picked up again!

The height on these wedges are perfect for really petite females they are around five inches and if a female is tall like I am they only add more height and length to the body!

I feel like this look can go day to night. During the day it can be warn with a tank underneath it and flat sandals. I think it can go great for date night as well with a cream bandeau top or white and the wedges! I hope you guys have enjoyed my destroyed series posts!

Special thanks once again to my amazing sister who I would be so lost in the blog world without for taking and always helping me set up my posts! Check her out HERE to see her gorgeous engagement and wedding photos and her awesome DIY's!

Catch me on Monday for my next post!

Pretty in Punk

I love punk music and punk style however, trying to do a punk post became very hard for me.  I am not the punk style wise in the slightest so this was quite the challenge. My inner rock goddess wanted me to be all rock n' roll or emo black so here was my attempt at a Met Gala everyday look for a punk post! :) Also sorry for all the pictures I just loved them and couldn't decide!

I was trying to channel Taylor Momsen and her slips but when doing so I felt a little too provocative so I decided to add a baggy black tee over my slip.

The slip is actually a lining from an Elizabeth & James dress I almost wore but it was too wintry.

The black slouchy tee is from Urban Outfitters and has been featured before.

The motorcycle boots are from BCBG and I love them any time of the year.

My nail polish is by Essie: Fiji is the color name.

Rings in order from left to right: Eagle(chicken): Forever 21, Turquoise: vintage piece, Raised Stud ring: Forever 21, Turquoise:vintage, Eyeball: candy machine, Swirly Ring: vintage.

Black lace bracelet is actually a head piece from F21, again silver gladiator bracelet is from Flower Merchant and the studded and black bracelet above it I made!

Product used in my hair for the awesome texture: Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray

Everyday Karma necklace is from Target.

Rosary necklace from Charming Charlie's and has awesome extenders.

Black booties are awesome. These have tiny holes and I found them at Rack Room Shoes. Very comfortable for a heel.

I adore the zipper detailing on the insider of the booties. They make it easy for my high arch to fit in the shoe.

This was just to show how long that slouchy T is!

I mix matched earrings from F21 this being the Ace of Hearts.

Also from F21 gold lips with red rhinestones.

Clinique lipstick color: A Different kind of Grape

Silly rock on picture.

Not quite punk, but the bracelet is actually a hair piece so I decided I must show it that way!

I used Mac sparkly black on my eyelids and a liquid eyeliner from E.L.F.
Huge thanks once again to my beautiful and sweet sister for dealing with me and always taking these awesome photos. Check her blog and her website HERE for awesome photos and DIY's.
Check back for my next post on Thursday!
