Give Thanks

So I am finally back to blogging again my schedule has lightened up and I can't wait to share with all of you some of my favorite looks this fall! Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I have so much to be thankful for, my family, my friends, my good health, and so many more things! I'm also thankful for all of my clothing which are like my children! So here is my Thanksgiving Dinner look!

I opted for a more Blaire Waldorf look for this Thanksgiving! This skirt is seriously the bee's knee's. It is from the Phillip Lim collection for Target. It has a great amount of length to it which makes it timeless to me. I love the oversized animal print too, it just adds a touch of fun to the look.

My shirt is from Jessica Simpson collection, it is the perfect cool blue v-neck. It actually has some ruffles on the hips but it actually made the skirt fall perfectly around my hips. I adore simple. If I changed the top for cooler weather I would probably wear it with a sweater since Missouri weather changes every five minutes.

I love headbands, they are the best to keep my long hair back out of my face. My headband is from Jane Tran who is so awesome! Jane Tran creates these amazing hair accessories from bobby pins to headbands.

Jane Tran is Chan Luu's sister, aka the original designer of wrap bracelets and amazing earrings and necklaces all sooo unique and beautiful.

The tights are royal blue the knee's aren't quite as sheer as they look in this picture but the tights certainly add warmth to the fall and winter weather.

The skirt actually had a sweater that is supposed to go with it but I opted to not buy that and only get the skirt, the sweater is amazing and Phillip Lim's ad features it with the sweater. However, together I think it is just entirely too much for my style and body.

Have a blessed and Happy Thanksgiving everyone and I will blog again as soon as I can!
Also, special thanks to my beautiful sister at Climer Photography for all the wonderful pictures, love you!

Touch of Gray.

No, not the song by The Grateful Dead... A dress, duh! I am not a huge fan of color so, my closet is all neutrals, black, white, and gray. This dress is perfect for Summer which is exactly why I decided to share it today! It can be worn day or night with heels or with flats. I adore the versatility of it. You can even add a blazer or jacket to it. It is perfect for weekends whether its date night, girls night, a party, work, or even just a summer trip, this is the dress of all dresses. My love for maxi dresses I have already expressed so this dress was something I could not live without hanging in my closet. A GRAY maxi dress!  This dress has such an awesome feel to it, its light weight but at the same time it has enough weight to make it hang flattering the figure. Its structural with a shoulder piece I normally would not like it except it has amazing details from the darts to the drawn in waist to the studding. This dress is a perfect addition to summer, spring, and even fall wardrobe. Tracy Reese's, Plenty collection never fails to make me impress me and make me happy. I decided to pair it with my new favorite summer heels from Target that have been feature before in your epidermis is showing.

Special Thanks: My beautiful sister, Climer Photography for taking these pictures! Never disappoints me! Check out her beautiful photos, DIY's, and blog HERE or on the link to her page on the left. ---->

Bohemian Maxody

I am a Summer girl. I love everything about Summer: the heat, the sun, the ease, the styling, lazy days, fun nights, poolside, parties, get together's, no worries, sunglasses, beaches, flip-flops, tank tops, dresses, shorts. So basically everything. My favorite thing about dressing for summer is Maxi trends, being a taller girl, maxi skirts and dresses actually fit perfectly and work. This dress that I chose to feature today is so me... I don't know how else to put it. It is fitted and long and clean creamy bohemian love. Anyway here is my weekend maxi style!

The dress is from Charming Charlie's also comes in black.

I absolutely adore the length of this dress because it is perfect with wedges or flats.

I love that the lower half is sheer, it adds just a touch of fun and sexy to a classic Summer maxi.

I love this belt that it came with, I wish I would have remembered my other belt to add more of a hippie touch.

I'm loving this picture. Anyways this necklace is a vintage piece and its wooden all different stains I love the wood trend that has been seen here again recently.

The wood necklace is actually a bit longer but I shortened it and added a chain to my choker area just to add more accessories.

The belt is actually a suede material. I adore the fringe tassel detailing. I am all about little details.

On top of my straightened hair I use Not Your Mother's sea salt texturizing spray and the lovely humidity to give my hair this messy texture.

I paired it my dress with Target wedges that were featured in part three of the Destroyed Series.

Back details are awesome especially if they are open backed and I love racer backs so of course I had to show the back on this.

This was just a rad picture of my hair getting flipped before photos and I love all the colors that Summer brings out in my hair.

Hope you all have a safe and blessed weekend and enjoyed this post!
Special thanks to Climer Photography again. I love my sister so much and her mad photography skills! Be sure to check our her blog and website with the links on my page! Stay in touch for another maxi post next week!

Casual Monday's

So Monday's aren't always the easiest day of the week. Today I started my summer classes... So with that being said here is my Casual Monday. On Monday's you don't necessarily have the desire to get ready nor put a ton of effort into getting ready. This look is basic and can be dressed up or dressed down to get the desired look. Head to toe:

Basics of Monday. Easy hair and makeup I literally take my hair and put it in a knot on the top of my head with a hair tie and basic eyeliner and mascara.

My top and shorts are from Forever 21 shoes are Mossimo from Target.

This top has sheer shoulder panels that are really quite brilliant for summer and keeping well ventilated for hot days. It also has a lovely racer back detail in the back.

The shorts are a silky pajama style with arrows all over them. I absolutely love the arrow trend that has been out there and these are perfect for hot summer days.

These shorts also have this awesome athletic short paneling detail. I love how they fit they even have an elastic waistband so I can wear it tucked in or belted. or high waisted or low rise.

Hope you all have enjoyed Casual Monday as much as I have! Check back on Friday for my weekend post! Special thanks once again to my amazing sister at Climer Photography for taking my pictures and helping with my blog :)

your epidermis is showing

So this is a little much for the day and a little sexy. I had to love show it! Leather into summer trend started happening last summer and I love it. It is the perfect amount of edge to be added to your wardrobe. My awesome sister was nice enough to lend me her leather shorts for this shoot because the jeans I ordered that were leather were about three sizes too small!! Anyways this is my take on summer leather and what I think would be a great look for date night!

My blazer is Forever 21 keeping in the white out trends! I love blazers and this one is just the bee's knees. It has a silky lining and cute vertical stripes on the cuffs of the sleeves.

This is the crop top from my destroyed look part two. Its Forever 21 I love, if you don't have one, get one because they seriously go with so much.

My sisters awesome leather shorts are from Forever 21. Its so nice to have a sister to share a closet with and that we are close enough in size to swap! It completely extends your wardrobe!

My absolutely favorite thing to add to black and white is red nail polish. Red is such a strong color. I love this, it is Color Show!

My shoes are really awesome. I have already worn them several times with so many looks! I can't wait to feature them on the blog more!

The shoes are from Target and they also come in a brown and tan color.

Special thanks again to my amazing sister at Climer Photography! Check out her awesome blogs and beautiful photos. I could not function without my sisters help, I love her. Check back on Monday for a new post!

Hint of Mint

So this weekend I became highly distracted with pools opening up, summer starting, and Memorial day festivities! So many women still believe that you can only wear white after Memorial day... However, I beg to differ. This is a look that I would wear anytime of the year. Maybe different colored top or adding a blazer, but seriously. White can be worn whenever! Do not fall victim to old rules! Also white shoes, they used to be somewhat trashy or even skanky at a lack for better words. These shoes were once a faux pas are now actually quite chic when worn correctly, mainly if they are a stiletto and have a narrow pointed toe. Eventually I will do a post on how awesome these shoes really can be when paired correctly! Now here is how I wear my white jeans in the end of Spring and beginning of Summer!

DSC_4467.jpg
These jeans are one of my favorite brands, they are by Mother Denim. They run a bit small usually but they are just perfect for all times of the year and all kinds of weather!

DSC_4471.jpg
My top is actually a very pale mint green. I adore anything that buttons down simply because you can layer it and its  classic! I purchased it at Forever 21.

DSC_4480.jpg
This mint green top is amazing because of the fact along the bust it is double thickness therefore you cannot see undergarments as easily!

 DSC_4488.jpg
My very favorite detail about this top though is the back, I love backless tops and interesting backs, this one has a tuxedo cut and makes it very light weight and elegant!

DSC_4492.jpg
I've shown these Gianni Bini shoes before but I really wanted to show off the way that these jeans are destroyed. Please excuse my incredibly veiny foot. I love any sort of edge that can be added such as the ripped ends on these Mother's jeans.

This picture of the bows on the shoes was too awesome not to add. After all the storms last week, the flowers and leaves nearby formed this awesome collection that I fell in love with.

Hope that you all enjoyed my take on white jeans! I apologize again for my delay in posting! Hope all of you will check back again for my next post soon!

Special Thanks: My best friend/sister always takes my photos and I think they are just the bees knees or cats pajamas whichever you prefer! If you like them too and want to see more of her work check her out HERE or to the right of my page. She has beautiful photographing skills, awesome blog posts, and incredibly helpful DIY's!

Destroyed: Part three of three

So for my last look in this series I took a girly turn! I love white and and I always adore a touch of flower child. So for my last post in the destroyed shorts series I mixed one of my favorite sheer white tanks with the rad shorts.

If I would have had the time to do my hair I normally would have gone with a wavy more relaxed style and not quite so straight!

The top is from Urban Outfitter's. It is incredibly sheer and light weight, perfect for a hot summer day! It has a nice clasp to keep the front area concealed or to reveal a bright tank or bandeau. I prefer wearing it with white tank and clasped shut.

In this picture you can see that the shirt has detailing. It has stitching that is in a floral and paisley pattern.

The top is actually very flowy, but I love tucking it in for this look. It gives just a hint of flirty to the already cute appeal with the ruffles on the neckline.

I love backs on shirts from racer to open, strappy, and completely backless tops. The racer back is just too cute not to show!

These wedges are a little old but they are from Target, I love how the flower details are also picked up again!

The height on these wedges are perfect for really petite females they are around five inches and if a female is tall like I am they only add more height and length to the body!

I feel like this look can go day to night. During the day it can be warn with a tank underneath it and flat sandals. I think it can go great for date night as well with a cream bandeau top or white and the wedges! I hope you guys have enjoyed my destroyed series posts!

Special thanks once again to my amazing sister who I would be so lost in the blog world without for taking and always helping me set up my posts! Check her out HERE to see her gorgeous engagement and wedding photos and her awesome DIY's!

Catch me on Monday for my next post!
